About me
I live in Spondon with my husband, Curt and our 3 lovely children, Dylan (born 2004), Eloisa (Minxy) (born 2005) and Cara Zeta (born 2007). After assisting in Borrow Wood nursery 2 days a week for a year as I undertook a level 2 NVQ in Childcare, Learning and Development I decided to set up my own Childminding business in April 2010.
I have been inspected by Ofsted who have approved my setting and rated my provision as "good". Most days I work with an assistant. My assistants are also Ofsted approved and First aid trained. This means that your child will have extra attention and care. Your child will be cared for in our home so will have a secure home setting.
A typical week may include toddler groups, visits to the park, feed the ducks or library, messy play, baking and of course lots of FUN! At home we have musical instruments, role-play and dressing up, puppets, games, creative items, jigsaws and a very child friendly garden complete with trampolines, sandpit, climbing frame, slide and too many ride ons and balls etc to count!
I have undertaken a first aid course and completed my NVQ3 in Childcare, Learning and Development.
I am committed to the Early Years Foundation Stage which all childminders, pre schools and nurseries must provide for children aged 0-5. This has been put into place to ensure that all children get the support that they need to learn through play and get a good grounding for when they start school. It focuses strongly on the individual child which is perfect for us as we will soon know your child well and be able to put their favourite activities on for them.
My primary aim is to work together in partnership with parents and families to provide all children in my care with a clean, safe and loving home-like environment where everyone feels valued and that all children who come to us are happy and enjoy their time here.
